I'm not going to cut my hair until my one year anniversary here. Here's my starter shot. Sorry about the furry pic...my 5 yr old took it. This is my hair washed this morning and air dried. I think I typed it right...1c F/M ii?

I'd say you are closer to a 2a than a 1c.Beautiful start though. Happy growing!

You and I are pretty much hair twins, I think. I'm only shooting for 6 months, and I'm halfway done. I promised not to trim until my birthday, in March. So, I wish us both luck. I might need it, since my sister got lice, and I've been forced to comb my hair way too much with a fine toothed comb. My damaged ends tangle enough that the job is crazy making.

Oh man, that's rough.

I haven't cut it since May but I figured I would go for a year from Sept. My birthday is in March too.
Good luck.

It's getting less annoying as time goes on. I can't wait to trim off the layers. I try not to think about it and keep it up most of the time.

I didn't realize until I saw the new pic next to the old one. Kinda looks like my hair grew a ton. I made some changes to my diet and it looks like it had an affect.

Wow, great growth and really lovely hair.

Can I ask what changes you made to see the extra growth? All help needed here :p

wow, your hair is beautiful! I would classify it as at least 2a - those look like real waves coming in in the 3rd and 4th pics! At any rate your hair is DEFINITELY not straight (1b).

lovely thick hair and such a pretty color too! :D

That looks awesome! I love your idea of being kept honest. I promised myself I wasn't trimming anything until my birthday (January), and even longer, if I can manage it. I just don't like the idea of cutting away my hair.

Thanks everybody!
For my diet...I cut out all processed food and cook at home. I was eating out almost every night, now we just go on Sunday. I eat a salad everyday. No white food and no cheese. Just tea and water...no soda or coffee. I started making my own soy/goat milk kefir that I have twice a day with my fish oil and vits. I swear it's magic and makes me feel amazing. I also cut out sugar and have stevia and agave instead. Lots of fruits and veggies, beans, lentils, rice...etc. Besides diet, I've also been working out 6 days.
I wonder if my hair cutting lady is still working at the same salon...it's been so long she probably thinks I found someone new. I'll try to take before and after pics when I do go in Sept. I wonder how much I should trim?

Your hair looks lovely and healthy, thats fab growing there! My parents enjoy the kefir, mums friend introduced it to them years ago. I have the occasional couple gulps when i visit. The one thing i really should get out of the house- soda drinks. What i have is the 7up or sprite because theres no caffeine and it helps prevent trapped wind:o, but sugar content is not good:nono:
I'm obsessed with avocado now. Used to think it was yuk:rolleyes:
