Buncover, NightBlooming stick, and MOP slide still available!

Mostly stuff I've outgrown, or stuff I just never wear and would like to see go to a good home! I'm happy to sell, but I'm also open to swaps - I'll sell to anyone, but I'd prefer to swap with a forum member with 30 days and 100 posts.

#1. Beautiful NightBlooming stick with gorgeous glass leaf beads, clear bead and goldtone accents. Lovely smooth stick. I'm only selling this because I have another one that's very similar but shorter, and I wear that more often. 7" with 6" usable length. £8.

#2. SWAPPED Graydog 'jingle ring' carved spiral stick, a hair short of 6", just over 5" usable length. I'm not sure what this colour combination is called but it's a stunner - rich emerald green, pale maplewood colour, capuccino brown, deep brown-burgundy and a very dark blue. Unfortunately in combination with my very dark hair the colours just don't pop, and I find I like the looser spiral patterns on PapaDonHs and Ketylos better. £15.

#3 SWAPPED Graydog three tine fork, same colours as above. Curved to fit the head. 4" total length, 3" usable. Would suit someone with smaller bun than me. I'm sorry to lose this, but it's just too small for me now. A beautiful piece. £18.

#4. SWAPPED Lovely Monkthemonk two tine fork in dymondwood. Very unusual design - the centre is lemonwood colour and the outside of the tines are striped in burgundy, denim blue, pink, green and yellow. The shape just doesn't work for me, but I'd like to see it go to a good home. I've never seen anything like this again on eBay, and it deserves to be worn! £15.

#5. SOLD Beautiful silvertone large flexi-8 with butterfly centre, AB beads and dangles.

#6 Lovely slide. Slide is carved mother-of-pearl, stick is plastic. Alas, too small for me. Would suit someone who likes half-ups. Carved pattern which I think is stylised leaves, very beautiful and delicate, but the seller I bought it from said she'd had it since the 1970s so it's clearly not as delicate as all that. £4.

#7 Really superior buncover on French backed barrette, so special it deserves two photos! I got this on eBay and it's a gem - thick creamy lace ornamented with beautiful small pearl beads. In perfect condition. Label says 'Two Blondes, Made In USA.' Bow 5.5" across, round elasticated snood bit measures 6" by 6". Gorgeous, but too big for me, alas - my hair just gets lost in there. Would suit iii person, or perhaps someone with curly hair. £5.

Some vintage forks - I recently bought a lot on eBay including several vintage forks that work better in my hair than these, so I'm pruning my collection. All very wearable and smooth with no nicks or tines missing.

#8 SWAP PENDING Early plastic fork with pretty swirly heading and rhinestones. Three rhinestones missing, but it doesn't really detract from the design. 4.5" by 2.5", £3.

#9. SWAP PENDING Narrow vintage fork with lovely tortoiseshell-like markings - am not sure whether it's tortoiseshell or a good imitation. Slight curve to fit head. 5" by 1", £2.

#10 SWAP PENDING Another one that might be tortoiseshell or might be fake - sorry, I'm not an expert! - this one wider. Slight curve to fit head. 1.5" by 4", £2.

#11. SOLD Vintage early plastic tortoiseshell-look fork with heart-shaped top. Rhinestones a bit faded but all present. Slight curve to fit head. £3.

#12. SOLD Very pretty vintage fork, either horn or early plastic, with tiny band of rhinestones at the top. Slight curve to fit head. All rhinestones present. £3.

SPECIAL OFFER - buy all 5 vintage forks for £10!

Things I'm always looking for in swaps: Etta Mae forks, Graydog forks or sticks, Ficcares (large Maxes, medium everything else, no Dolphins), PapaDonH sticks, Ketylo sticks, NightBlooming sticks or forks, and I'm happy to consider pretty much any other wooden hairtoy, be it barrette, slide or what have you. At present I'm particularly looking for small pairs of combs / clips to hold my hair back at the sides as long as they're relatively classic looking - I can't carry off little-girly bows, I don't have the face for it - and I'd also be interested in swapping one or more of the more inexpensive pieces for some jojoba or coconut oil, as I'm running out. :) I'm not really interested in product other than jojoba or coconut oil, or in swapping for plastic hairtoys.

I'm in the UK, but I'll post anywhere. Funded or credit card paypal is fine, but no eCheques, please. I'll also happily take cheques or postal orders from people in the UK, but I'm afraid my bank charges me a huge amount to pay in cheques drawn on non-UK banks, so Paypal only from non-UK buyers please. :) I'll post once your payment has cleared - I usually manage to get to the post office once or twice a week.

If you need help converting UK pounds to US dollars or another currency, I suggest this convertor hosted by eBay (http://pages.ebay.co.uk/services/buyandsell/currencyconverter.html).

Postage, £1.50 to the UK / £2.50 international for any number of items, as some of these items are vintage and I don't want to be sending them out with no more protection than a padded envelope.

I had good feedback under the old board system and hope to build up more with the new system we've got now! :)

Thanks, Stevy

Thank-you, Stevy. It arrived lightening fast and in great condition.

You clip the barrette onto your hair at the nape and then put your hair in the bag, or you can make a bun, ease the bag over the bun, and clip the barrette into your hair above the bun. It's beautiful, but far too big for me - my hair barely half fills it. :(

So worn that way, the elastic would rest where a headband would rest, right?

I guess so - right at the base of your skull a bit lower than your hairline.

If you manage to find the Nightblooming stick I'd be interested in swapping.
