picture share from Pixie to.......(shoulder, APL, BSL, Waist, Hip, or beyond)

I was looking through the members list to see if I could find picture albums of progress from Pixie (or shorter) to ..whatever.. most either dont have albums or the albums are private and thats fine. I just wanted some inspiration...

.How long did it take you to get from..buzzed/pixie to where you are now? 16 months so far

.(how much) Did you trim or cut off in that time frame? apromix 4.5" just the once

I went from Pixie (shorter than yours) to nearly BSL in about 18 months. I cut back to shoulders to get rid of a lot of damage. I'm back to APL when curly and a inch or so shy of BLS when pulled straight. It depends on which bra I'm wearing. lol I'd show progression pictures but my other computer isn't working right now. I'm like the mechanics wife that has a car that's never fixed. ;)

yes I seen yours when you posted it some time ago...very inspriational ☺ 5 years wow sounds like I have 3.5 left if I never trim again....but it needs it im trying to hold off at least till feb for a full 1 year no cutting/trimming except bangs. :cheese:

I was "pixied" in Dec 07 - about an inch all over -(and, no, absolutely no pics of that big mistake, lol) and I'm currently what you see in my siggy ~ maybe 18.5" now. I've had many trims because I couldn't stand the ugly stages and even regressed back to an inverted bob at one point (stupid, stupid, stupid) so I'd probably be considerably longer if I hadn't had so many sissor dates but oh well....I know better now! Overall I would think I lost about 6 inches to trimming. :(

Hey RP, I'm growing out a pixie too unfortunatly I don't have a photo accessable :( It was very short though, like serious' 07 photo, no actually a little shorter than that even.... for a while the back of my hair was being shaved... anyway I'm at about the same length as you are now and I've been growing it out for two years. *whew* isn't it long yet???? lol

Thank you for sharing your pictures and stories...I know it really helps me so Im sure it helps others and probally some lurkers out there (*waves* says hi to the lurkers..) who are still in the pixie stage...some times it just feels and looks like were not even growing even with the help of pictures...and its just nice to see the whole picture and know others are going through the same thing ☺

Well, I went from a pixie cut (regular boy style) to a little above tailbone in 5 years. I measure 1,75 meters.

JK! But it does make a difference! I think shirt/ landmark is the most accurate measurement for me since I am tape measure/ bra level challenged...

Your hair is growing! You have come a LONG way based on your pics!!!!!! It is just hard to see on ourselves sometimes....... that is what you have us for! :D

I went from pixie to almost BSL in 3,5 years. You can se the progress in my signature and there's a lot of pictures in my album. Keep on growing! I love my hair right now and think I will go for waist.

1) How long did it take you to get from..buzzed/pixie to where you are now? 1995 - 1998, Bob Cut, 1998-Present

2) How much did you trim or cut off in that time frame? About 11 inches after cutting about 8 inches off to make an even hemline. Yeah, that lasted long thanks to stylists cutting it crooked so eventually it was cut into a V to make it look nice and it has been a V since.

So, this December will be 3 years of growth. I have had quite a few trims, though I'm not sure how many inches off that would be total. I chose to have my layers trimmed until I reached a chin length bob. It was the only way to give shape to my hair. After that, I had about 0.5-1.5 inches removed every few months until my length was just past APL. Since then, I haven't trimmed, only dusted.

I have no idea how much I trimmed during that time. I couldn´t even begin to guess. I trimmed out layers for the first year or so, and have done an occasional maintenance trim since then.
