My One Year Anniversary with lots of PICS

I made it! One whole year and many more to come!

I've wanted long hair for more than a few years now, it's been a goal. A goal that was side tracked when I walked into a salon to have my layers trimmed up. Needless to say, I got the inexperienced stylist to nearly chop all my hair off. I don't have pics of it that short but I do have pics of it pretty hacked up.

Are you ready?! Lets take a look at my progress!

Wow! You have achieved so much length within just one year. You went from shoulder length with really choppy layers to bra-strap with a nice, U-shaped hemline. You are growing along very nicely, keep up the good growth!

Thank you. The light brown is old dye I'm growing out to virgin hair and the waves are bunwaves in the last pic of the second post. I can't believe the actual growth I pulled off, I'm still amazed and so very happy with it! :D

The side tracking had me in tears for a long time. I hated my hair in late 07, early 08. I knew it would take time. I did my time and now, I'm on to longer beautiful locks! :cool:

Thank you! You know, when I got done being butchered, I looked that stylist in the eye and told her she was lucky my hair grew fast! Thank you for the compliments on my hair. I'm lovin it! :D

It is so much more healthier because of LHC. When I first came, my hair was so dry because of the chemical dye. I could hold a piece out from my head and it'd have no droop to it and stick straight out. :( I have found EVOO and CO and my hair has been inlove with it! Thank you!!! :)

Thank you Paper! I think the going dye free was the hardest decision I made regarding my hair because I loved the deep rich color so much but it was killing my hair and I had to make a stand and decide what I wanted more... long hair or damaged broken hair? I'll have the long healthy hair please, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! :D I now, can look at my 6" or more virgin, silvery hair and welcome it and I can't wait til it grows even more!

My hem line used to be so think like your now. Now I've got layers literally up to my ears and my hem line is a joke. I feel like I've lost my hair and a part of me too. I'm glad to see others who have gone through this. It helps. So many people around me tell me oh its just hair! If they only knew!

I feel your pain curlytiff. It took me almost a good two years just to get to one length and grow out the layers and add some length. As soon as my top layer hit shoulder, I cut it off. It was hard but I was so sick of them.

Keep growing. It will get better, month by month. <let's not fool ourselves with day by day> Soon, you will be able to look at your hair and love it just like I love mine. :)
