With the recent discussions of men & longhair, I thought I'd post the below pics/links for inspiration.

Here's a guy who seems to be comfortable with looking "different." :)

He sports 4 different hairstyles:


Bun
2 braids
half-up (kind of I think)
fully down showing his curly-wurlsLooks masculine, no? ;) I believe he's a chef (hence, the chef's knife he carries).

I wouldn't worry too much. I think it happens frequently with newbies... I think the mods will ask for links to be posted instead.

Before posting this entry, I tried to find the rules about copyrights, but didn't find it although I searched...but yeah, they tend to be strict since it's a fairly large community board ... about long hair.

Anyway, I saw your other posts, by the way, about manly guys or something and was inspired to post the above pics. So Yay all of us. :)

Heheh I have mine like the "Lion Mane" mostly, or insyead of the front hair being behind my ears I just let it hang. That or just a ponytail with a hair-tie. I wanna try a braid, but I don't really know how to do one myself lol :o

I don't like it, but then I don't particularly like to see men with long hair, so probably that's just me. To me there's still a difference between long and loose and long and in a bun. It's the damn bun that's giving me the creeps!

I like his hairstyle - I often wear something similiar to it. :)

I watched the other short video after it where he specifically talks about why he's wearing the 2 short ponytails:

Daniel Vitalis does have great hair, but I suspect that it's the face that does it for most of you! I think if I looked like him no-one would care about my hairstyle. That's cool - "Sleek" gets the shimmering river and you get the cascading waterfalls. :cool:

The braid takes a little practice. You can do it. :)

Hi Lapushka, that's funny about the bun giving you the creeps. It's funny what goes on in our minds isn't it?

I often see these type of bun on waiters with long hair - guess because it's easy enough to do.

That sleek style is my favourite, I think, but really well taken care of wavy hair can be pulled off nicely too. I really like it when it's well taken care of, but even when the ends are split and beaten, so many men can still pull it off! I'm jealous.

Am I the only one that finds men with long hair more masculine than men with short hair? It's as though they can't be bothered to keep up with haircuts or trims, they're rebellious enough to break off from the majority, and they're responsible enough to keep it in good condition. Oh yes - I remember him back in the 80s when he became the lead guitarist in Van Halen and he had big hair (like many others back then). How fun to see his hair now. Looks good on him.

A lot of the longhaired guys I see in Japan wear it up in a high ponytail or topknot. I think it's a really cool, attractive way for men to wear their long hair. Topknots for the win.
