I couldn't resist. And I am happy that I did! Of course, my hair is not that long, and I have lots of damage to get rid of, so I am in a different place than most of you!

Here is where I started in June this year: (After not washing for a day or two, and having it in a braid)
http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/picture.php?albumid=3348&pictureid=42529

This was my hair yesterday after 7 months of no trims. I had just washed and dried it, and you can really see how damaged my hair is... once it gets some oil in it, it doesn't look quite as bad, but my hair was loaded down with frizz and LOTS of split ends. I couldn't take it anymore!

So today, I went to my favorite salon, and used a coupon from online for a free deep conditioning with the purchase of a haircut! I'm so glad I did!

Watcha think? :)

I'm so happy with it. I am REALLY glad that I DID wait the seven months, and let it grow some so that I could get damage trimmed off without having to worry about it being up over my shoulders again. But my hair just feels so nice, I think I will probably start doing deep conditioning + trims every three months.

Pretty! I love the color, kind of a honey blond. It looks really nice on you.

Thanks! It feels so healthy, and 80% of the split ends are GONE!

Thanks! I haven't changed the color in 8 months and its basically the result of a light brown box of dye used to cover some highlights I got last year - and then faded out, so its a couple shades lighter than my roots! I think its prettier in the pics than in real life haha

Thanks! :)

I know, right!? I resisted trimming for so long, but the tiny step backwards was well-worth it. :)
And thanks!

The stylists did a great job, it actually seems longer (and much healthier) now! It has a great "fall" to it.

You have beautiful hair and got a great haircut. It goes to prove my (unpopular) theory that most longhairs look better with some layering or fairytailing at the ends (rather than blunt.)

What did they put on your hair, it looks sooo good! They did a great job and didn't overhack at all.

Uh oh. After seeing how beautiful your hair looks, it's convincing me more and more to get my hair cut. I've been thinking about maybe getting a trim to freshen things up and maybe getting bangs again. I only hope it looks as nice as yours. I have a bad track record with hair dressers. :(

it looks really good - being a stylist - I think the your hair will grow out well with this cut without too much maintainence
