French Braids?

If there is a lesson area in this community I don't know where to look, but I have never known how to french braid... my hair is chin-length and I would like to learn how to french braid my own hair to spice it up while I wait for it to grow.

I know the mechanics of french braiding, which is adding pieces to the already forming braid but I fail at doing it. I'm new here also, joined to network with others while I painfully wait out the growth process...
