But I'm not sorry. I had a real urge to cut to chin to even out my layers. I got some great advice in this forum to have mini trims instead. Well, I had my first mini trim and I like it. My ends seem just a little bit more blunt. I put a pic in my album. hopefully you can see a tinsy change. If you can let me know what you think please. If you can't-well I see the change so it will have to do:)

I think it's adorable! I think the two week rule is a good idea, but if you like your hair, then no harm done! Love the shine, too.

Thank you ipickee. I put new pic up in signature, I guess it can now be compared to avatar pic for easier evaluation. Does it seem like I've lost a lot of lenght?

I can't tell if you have lost length b/c of the way you blocked out your face in your avatar. You have very pretty hair, though! I am not trimming this time. I have grown out from blunt before and it gets so boring and blocky that I am happy to grow out from layers this time. Plus it is quicker.

Sorry about blocking my face out but my chin is about where the white spot is and my last layer about where the violet spot is.

Your hair looks wonderful. I'm in the same position, (although my hair is shorter), should I trim or just let it grow out?

I think the two week rule is meant for huge drastic changes, not a trim to even out hair, or if one has VERY damaged hair to get rid of the damage.(By very damaged I mean noticeable breakage, to strangers, not to yourself. I had a case of that, and cutting my hair to a pixie saved it.) It's meant for things like henna, dying/bleaching, relaxers, or substantial cuts on fairly undamaged hair(I'd say more than 4 inches).

I see a little loss of length in the very back. Not a lot at all. On the plus side, the evening out of layers makes the front look longer. It's a more cohesive look; very flattering.
Happy growing!

I agree; the two-week rule is for drastic changes, not trims. Your sig picture looks very pretty!

I think your hair looks very nice, If it were me I would not cut all that nice hair off to chin.
