View Full Version : Weak hair?

Last night I was absent mindedly twirling my hair around my fingers, when a strand snapped right off! It breaks at the tiniest pull. :( It never used to be like this. Is there anything I can to do make my hair stronger? *eagerly awaits replies*
Thanks in advance :flower:

It could be that your hair is very dry. My hair was like that a couple of months ago, so I began to condition and moisturize it more and now it's a lot stronger. If you aren't doing it already, CO might be a good option. :)

Have you been using oils? Oils take away the elasticity in my hair.

I am officially confused, I thought oil help keep moisture in the hair and prevent breakage?

Don't mean to butt in here, but I have noticed that my hair is behaving this way, too. I have been CO for 2 months, but I do use oils. Maybe the oils are the issue like fluffer said? I'll try cutting them out for a while and see if that helps.
Lately, I have been rethinking the CO route because of the snapping sounds I've been hearing. My hair is baby fine, but I have a TON of it. Maybe it needs cones to help protect it? But when I was using cones my hair always looked and felt like crap! :brickwall
