Well I dunno what the worst thing is for me but at the moment I seem to end up with toothpaste in my hair every damn morning... What am I.. 5 years old? What the hell?! Someone lend me a scrunchy! :P

Eww eww eww! I have a strong "ick" factor for toothpaste once it's been all foamed up in the mouth. Yuuuccckkk... And my lovely fiance has a habit of wiping his foamy toothpaste mouth on my nice, clean, cream-colored bathroom towels. Bleh. :puke:

*hands PaleDale a scrunchy*

The worst thing was one of those round brushes (like this: http://avonshop.co.uk/shop/Assets/images/prod/prod_1023834.jpg). When I was a kid, I thought I could curl my hair (it was straight back then) by wrapping my hair around it.

Well, for the record, it doesn't quite work that way... Ouch!

I was going to say regualr snot, when I sneezed RIGHT in my hair once on accident... but I think elephant snot wins.

Cockroach. Live cockroach.

We lived in Hawaii and the darn things are everywhere. I had a sleepover and one of my friends accidentally left some sweets in my room. A roach decided to take a shortcut over my bed and hair to get to them and I woke up to the mad scrambling of it when it got stuck. I freaked out, then it freaked out, spread it's wings to fly and the frantic "ffflllllltttttt" of it's wings beating near my neck was drowned out by my high pitched girl-shriek. It got loose only to tumble down my night shirt. My mother must have thought I was posessed when she came rushing in.

I still hate cockroaches.

my worst is probably a mixture of paint and glue....oh... with feathery whisps too which are currently stuck in my hair... -making a mask-

Mines not really horrible... except the time that it was oil paint...

A blow dryer.

One of the few times I've used one of the blasted things, my hair got caught in the air-intake, and it ate its way up my head.

Never had much desire to try using one after that!

I haven't gotten a roach stuck in my hair, but I did get bitten by one once!

I still think the worst thing I've gotten stuck in my hair was a couple of kittens. Poor babies were hissing, spitting, freaked out - made it difficult to untangle them!

I had a friend who has long hair, and she told me yogurt is great for your hair. One day I tried it and I suffered a lot to take it out of my hair! I couldn't even take it all of in one wash...

Gee... seems it works diferently for everyone. So yeah, that was the worst...

i have also had fiber glass in a braided pony when i was doing body work on my car. talk about a pain to get out. :)

One of those brushes. I wasn't trying to curl my hair, I was just uncoordinated. I haven't touched it since.

Oh, and gum. Somebody spit gum into my hair in middle school. That was awful on several levels.

Most disgusting? Chemical toilet. I chopped from waist to jaw/ear that night. That was my last haircut, and this time around I know how to bun!

No, seriously. Back when we had a pet bunny, I was sitting on the sofa one day while he was on top of the back right behind me against the back of my head. I turn around at some point to find his thing's poking all the way out, quite probably right into my hair. :p So he went back in his cage and I went into the shower.

I guess I'm lucky, nothing really gross as yet....

The worst have been insects. I have woken up to a daddy longlegs squished in my hair, and I've had a caterpillar squished in my hair (while trying to remove it). I've also had a round brush get stuck in my hair.

oooh... and once I nearly got my hair stuck in an old letterpress printing machine while I was attending university - luckily I noticed right away and only ripped a few hairs out (but I guess that's not a thing in hair story, but more a hair caught in something story). I also used to have the ends dip into photo print developer on a regular basis back then - it does a nice bleach job (you think I would have tied it up, but I was too vain at that point in my life....)

Eugh! I had a cockroach land on my face once-- I was sleeping on the floor of a barn-style building and it landed right next to my eye. I'm still kind of proud that I didn't scream and freak out and wake the dozen people sleeping around me, though I sure wanted to.

One of those round brushes, like meowmeow described. I was clumsy with it and somehow it got caught in my hair. It got so badly matted that it was a huge clump of hair next to my scalp. That night I stayed up until 4am getting my dad to yank each bristle out of the brush. I finally de-matted my hair with buckets of conditioner- I'm not using one of those again!

Worst things happening to my hair are as follows. Bugs of all kinds, Gum, bird poop, getting it caught in fans, sitting on it while trotting on a horse, catching it in the door as I close it, then try to walk away, sleeping on it so when I try to move it pulls it, getting it caught in metal chairs, tree sap, hay, paint, mud, I've pretty much done it all.

I was on a cross country trip with a youth group and some boy spit his wad of gum out the window and it flew back in through MY window into my hair. I was totally freaked and afraid I would have to chop it out until a nice chaperone told me she could get it out with peanut butter. We stopped at a rest stop and she bought a jar of peanut butter and helped me get the gum out of my hair and then wash it in the bathroom sink and dry it with the hot air hand drier.

It was in my newbie days here at LHC and I had read about rhassoul clay used for washing hair...well, I got to the health food store and bought me some clay. Went home and mixed it p according to instructions, applied to my hair and tried to wash it out. What a nightmare! It didn't get my scalp gunk off, and I had clay residue in my hair and on my scalp! Ew, never clay again.

White paint. I was painting the inside of a closet and not wearing a baseball cap or anything...I wanted to check on a spot I was painting and leaned my head back to check the ceiling and the back of my head touched the wall of the closet, giving me a nice white splotch of paint. :(
I washed and washed but couldnt get all of it out at the time....eventually it had to wear out. I sure got tired of people coming up to me and saying, "Is that paint in your hair...?" "umm, yeah..." :)

Toothpaste, check. Gum, mascara, tree sap, Hairagami, foam curlers, barf, paint, check. Blowdryer by having it sucked in the intake, check. Round brush, check. Oh, and copious amounts of dog snark. That’s those delightful slingers produced by giant breed dogs when they’re watching you eat something they’d really REALLY love for you to share….

Nest full of yellowjackets. I walked under "their" tree and they dive-bombed me. At least a dozen got all tangled in my hair, buzzing and stinging. Oh, it was not fun.

But I have a huge cockroach issue, so I think that's the winner for sure. shudder:

The worst for me was blood. I had a tumor removed from my scalp and it took two surgeries. Each time, the blood ended up dripping down the closest strands, drying, breaking up (but not off) and then hanging like beads on a string. I could not wash my hair for a week and it smelled so foul!

For some reason we're experiencing an early December plague of flies (It might have something to do with the fact that we've got cows for next door neighbors). My DH has put up flypaper strips and one of them fell down behind the couch. Where it promptly got stuck in my hair. EWWWWWW.

I did something like that when I was little to one of my dad's friends. My dad was an architect and had one of the electric erasers that looks kind of like a dremel...when you press down on the eraser, it spins. I stuck it in my dad's friend's beard. I had no idea...

When i was in primary school i had some bubblegum at break and the bell went to go back into class. I wanted to keep it so i stuck it behind my ear (it seemed like a completely logical place to put it at the time). It became completely stuck in my hair and the head of the school had to get my mum to come in to get me. I had to get it cut out at the hair dresser and ended up with a boys hair cut! Never again!

When I was about 3 or 4, I had waist length, baby fine white blonde hair... And I managed to get a wad of gum stuck up to the nape in the back. It had to be cut out. D: I don't remember it (thankfully; talk about traumatizing!) but my mom likes to tell the story on occasion.

That was also when my string of really short hair cuts for years and years began. :(

Two-component epoxy. Solid.
Chicken :poop:. Yucky.
Glass wool. Itchy!

Now I put my hair into a bun and cover it with a bandana when going near one of those evil things  hope I learned my lesson.

By far, the worse thing I've gotten in my hair has been bubblegum... thankfully that's the only truly horrifying thing that's been in it.
