Try oiling, and try only combing while in the shower (with conditioner in) and a wide toothed comb. You may have curly hair!

Well, let's see...

Are you a wavy or curly? Do you brush or comb? Do you brush/comb/fingercomb while wet or dry?

How moisturized is your hair?

Try spreading out your washes, don't wash your hair EVERY day. Until you let us in on more details with your routine I cannot offer anymore advice.

Sounds like you're a wavy or a wurly (wavy/curly)!

Try moisturizing and not touching your hair as it dries. :)

So it is wavy? I second the oiling, try a little bit of Olive oil (and I MEAN "little bit" maybe like a drop or two)

How long has your hair been like this? Do you think it was a change in your routine that made your hair excessively frizzy?

Do you brush your hair? That is a pretty quick way to make most wavy/curly hair turn into a big poofy mess.

My vote is to stop brushing your hair. The only time I comb/brush mine is right before a shower, or if I'm just putting it up anyway. If I brush/comb it dry, it gets horribly frizzy and poofy and gross. Not wavy, not wurly, just horrible. I brush it before I shower, then don't touch it after, and life is good. My hair falls into soft waves.

Also, I found that coconut oil will give my hair that super soft and smooth feeling you get with straightened hair (I get it too when I straighten mine). Plus, the coconut oil makes it a bit straighter, if I want straight hair that day.

all i normally do is run my fingers through it most of the time maybe use a comb once a month
then let it try and throw it up

Have you ever tried scrunching some gel into damp hair and just leaving it be? That might work if your hair is wavy enough.

Also, more info would probably help. What is your current haircare routine, is your hair dyed/damaged/etc..., how long is your hair, that sorta thing.

i wash 1-2 times a week, just run my fingers through it and either pull it up in a bun or french braid.. maybe straighten it once a month

my longest layer is like 2-3 inches below my shoulders and my shortest is shoulder length
i had alot of damage but its gotten alot better since ive been using tresemme thermal recovery.

Are you plaiting it when it is wet after washing and taking it out when it is dry? If I let my hair dry just on its own (outwith a plait or twist), then I look like a banshee.

I know that my damaged hair is really frizzy, especially after washing it.

Do you use any conditioner, oil or other moisturizing treatment?

Frizzy hair is often a sign of dryness, so if you're not conditioning, start, and if you're already using conditioner, try a deep treatment, either homemade or storebought.
