Has anyone else noticed a change in texture/ type as you started following all the great advice on LHC??

I thought I had fine/ thin hair.... after following the hair typing system, I realized it was a good, solid medium- that was a misperception on my part
BUT.......
I also thought I had stick, straight, never-hold-a-curl hair.... I think I am wavy!!!!! I am growing out some layers, so maybe it is that???? But I swear I have waves.

Sorry, am still trying to get photos posted, but until then- has anyone else experienced this??
I hope it lasts because I LOVE it!!! More curls, more curls, more curls

My curls have definatly changed since I joined LHC. The frizz is all but gone which I consider a total miracle and as it gets longer Im definatly changing type, heading towards wurly rather than curly and its not even that long yet :/

Yeap, I thought my hair was coarse, but appearently I just mistreated it, and didn't provide it with enough moisture.

Well, since I stopped blowdrying, my waves look much better...I experimented with not touching/combing it at all while it was drying and I *almost* got some curls.

I have no idea how to type myself on that front...I usually comb it during drying and it turns out like this:

But when I air-dried with no combing, I got this:

So, now I'm confused. Do you type your hair based on how you normally treat it? Or based on how it looks when you haven't done anything to it?

The hair typing system generally works according to what your hair looks like washed, untouched, and air dried without any product whatsoever. The less you fiddle with it the more accurate the typing would be.

I was thinking about this earlier as I went through a similar thing at the weekend. I had no idea, at all, that I had wavy hair. If I don't comb it while it's damp, don't use cones or protein this is the difference -

Oh, LHC, where have you been all my life? :cloud9:

Wow!!! I think that may even be past wavy?? It almost looks like it may start to spiral??

I know! I think I've got some spiral action going on under the canopy. :D That photo is the first time I ever let my hair dry unmanipulated - I've got a lot of wavy discovery ahead so I might go higher up the hair types as my hair grows.

Hootie - your waves look great. :)

I just blogged about this here the other day, and I think my hairtype has changed as well. Maybe making positive changes in diet, fitness and haircare all combined, has actually made a difference.

since I went sulfate and cone free I have discovered waves, it is annoying at the current length as its just past chin and waving all over the place but will be fine when its long :)
