OK, so it's officially my one month here at the LHC, and I cannot thank y'all enough for the amazingly kind welcome and the loads and loads of fantastic hair advice, not to mention the laughs and camaraderie!!

Below are snaps I took this morning of my hair...in comparison to the Avatar, I think I am already seeing some major improvements in texture and overall appearance (barring the (naughty-naughty!) ten minute color rinse I did two weeks ago). My methods: cut shampooing down to twice a week with sulfate and cone-free shampoo, heavy conditioning after both shampoos, BBB each night to redistribute oils, coconut oil 3-4 times a week on length, and hair, skin and nails supplement vitamins twice a day, plus much more water and fruit and veggies incorporated into my diet.s.

What say ye? Am I an LHC newbie poster child? And how long is it reeeaaalllyyy going to take for my hair to hit my hips if I keep up at this growth rate?

the length:

Your hair looks fab, LHC is great, isn't it?:D My hair was a little bit shorter than yours 2 years ago and now it is at hip. My hair growth is below average (about 1/4 of an inch a month) and I've had some trims along the way (but not too many). You could reach hip before you know it at this rate!:cheer:

Your hair looks great!! This is a wonderful place for all things; hair and friends. I've been a member for years and will continue. I wish you the best in your growing journey.

Thank you! Primarily, I'm thrilled with the change in thickness and texture. There is all sorts of new growth coming in, and as you can see in the pics that include part of my head, it looks and feels smoother and less coarse overall. My avatar pic is from mid-July, and although my hair looks fine in that pic, if you saw the texture better you'd see it was much coarser and MUCH drier looking there. So I'm quite pleased, especially since I did a trim about three weeks ago for ends and already I can see a trailer coming back down! :)
