View Full Version : Do our hairs grow at all-different rates?

If our hairs grow at somewhat different rates, maybe that is the reason people say that uneven ends will gradually even up over time if left alone. I had always assumed that every hair on my head would grow at the same speed...but maybe that's not the case. If it isn't, then I feel less pressure to do regular "dustings" because the ends will end up uneven anyway, whether I get dustings or not. Hope I'm making sense here. :o

I know my hair grows at slightly different rates, otherwise my blunt ends would stay blunt between my twice-yearly trims, but they don't. At first there's a crisp line, as the months go on it gets more varied.

If you don't want to maintain a totally blunt hemline, no reason to dust unless you're getting damaged tangly ends!
