There’s a morocco method strength date coming up next week and I was planning to do a trim. Is there anyone familiar with the theory that can give me more details to get the desired effect? Is there a specific time of the day that is more beneficial? Anything special recommended?

And just for the record, no, I don’t believe I can effect my hair in any way by cutting on one day as opposed to another, but I’m open to the idea that they’re right and I’m wrong

Igor, when I read about this, I noticed that for whatever reason, charting my good and bad hair days, I did notice that it somewhat corrolated with the morroccon method. I was shocked!

For me, I tend to get a trim when I notice my ends looking blahh, or worn out. I don't do them myself since my hair curls the minute scissors bite into it, but I tend to get it done during the day.

Not sure if that helps any?

Here is the current chart with dates and details.

Some more details

I hope that this is what you are looking for.

ETA: I remember there being an explanation on the site before some revisions were made. I have never used the products but have been curious about the line.

I just found this. His response to a skeptic, about lunar hair cutting. I have no comment on his views on this, other than to say that they are not mine.

I don't know whether it works either. I've been following the 'cut for length' dates now all year (2009), and can't say I've noticed my hair gaining more length per month! If anything, I think I've stalled. I think that would've happened anyway though.

The only way it has helped me though is that it stops me from obsessing every week whether my ends need trimming or not. I just wait until the next date to cut and don't worry about it any more.

I get the impression that I could throw some darts at a calendar and just do it that way.

I personally see no harm in following it. It may be fun to do and people may see results.
