Yah, I can see them. Looks very nice and shiny. And I love the red in the second picture. You got something on your face though, take it off and repost:p?

Ha ha, it took me like 30 minutes to edit those pics so the face was covered!! haha. Yeah, I think it looks silly too but so many people do it that I figured there was probably a reason. Thanks, I loved the red, it was my favourite colour (artificial). It took me three years to get rid of all the dye so now I don't know if I want to dye it again.

Thanks :) I am hoping to finally get to waist!! Would I have to mix the henna with anything (lemon?) to get it such a bright-orangy red? I am thinking of doing it in the fall, because then my hair will still be light from the summer and it might be a brighter red?

As far as i know only plain henna will do for you to get the color but it depends which henna you use. I use kudos henna which gives deeper tone of red whenever i apply it.

It's good to know I have a few good ones :):cheese:

Your hair is looking lovely! It seems healthy enough - I don't see any need to trim. :)

Thank you Teazel!! I am always paranoid about split ends so every time a shower I feel a small urge to reach for the scissors....which I've done quiet a few times....

that's really a difference! If you henna be sure to research it really carefully before, because hena is permanent, really really permanent. If you want that colour i'd say use a henna and cassia mix, you might not get that bright red but sort of a deeper mahogany:)

I add henna to my hair, it is a strawberry blonde to maybe dark blonde nowadays since more of my natural red started to fade. I use henna now that I bought off of ebay. It is nice but it is body quality art henna. I only do roots and on my length I haven't hennaed it in over 2 years and it is still there. Yes henna is permanent.
But your hair is lovely now as it is.:D

It looks sooooo much better in the last two pics than in any of the others!! I think the red is lovely, though (of course, I would !! ;op ) You can absolutely get that red with henna/indigo glazes, from what I have seen.

You have beautiful hair and such a nice wavy texture. I wouldn't dye it, though - I love the brown!

as said by Isilme
have a read through one of nightshades articles-
http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/...le&articleid=7
makes a good read.
to get a similar colour to that pic i'd suggest a dilute of henna with cassia or gloss (conditioner).
you won't get the bright streaks but instead with henna you get a glisten effect in the sun which is rather pretty.
give yourself sometime to think about it. your hair is a beautiful shade already :D

I love the red color in the photo from 3 years ago, and I love the waves and length in the "sometime this summer." If you could combine that together, it would look super-amazing, although it already looks very beautiful. :flower:

I couldn't really see your hair very well in the end-of-july photo, though, so I can't make an honest opinion of whether you should trim anything. :(

Thanks everyone for your kind words :):o you are all so sweet.

Isilme - that is something that has kept me from hennaing my hair, the fact that it is really permanent. I really love red, specially bright reds, but I am always scared that I am going to miss my natural color after I grew it back for the first time in like 5 years!!

JamieLeigh- My original plan was to combine the red color with waist length hair. I did not really know about henna for hair until I came here, so I decided to grow it to goal (waist) and then dye it then to avoid damage. Now that I know about henna is all the more tempting. I will post another picture to get opinions as to I am at waist yet.

Rach - thanks for the suggestions. I'll take read through the articles to see what I see :)

Lilli - thanks :) As I said, I am often going back and forth between the red and brown, I specially love the red in the fall, but I would miss the brown :)
