This is the week my friend is getting married and I am supposed to DJ her party:cheese:
All this time, ever since she told me (back in about March) I had imagined my hair to at least be to APL by now, it is growing super fast, and it is way longer since then, only it dosent FEEL longer (ya know) Maybe I was just expecting too much from myself. It should still be a fun party :D

Hair never seems to grow as fast as we want it too and the longer it gets the slower it seems to grow. But it does grow! Hang in there, it won't be too much longer now.

One day you will look at your hair and be shocked, other times, it seems like your hair and molasses and turtles have a lot in common! ;)
I see the difference in your pics, it takes time to see a big difference.
Have a good time DJ'ing, it sounds like a blast.

Have fun DJ:ing! I'm so jealous, wish I had the equipment and a crowd to dj too!
But yeah, I know what you mean, I was hoping my hair would be about APL to a open air music festival that was last month. I had planned months earlier that I would wear lots of braids and flowers in my hair and all that :p Haha, but my hair was only shoulder length by then! Nevermind, it is growing for sure, I had just as fun even if my hair wasn't as long as I expected it to be. I'm sure you will have too :)

Hehe I don't think my hair is long either (bra-strap length at its longest cut in a "v") but I was at the salon today and at least 7 different people commented on how long and pretty it was. Felt very nice, especially since not all of them were hairstylists either. Anyway my point (which I'm slowly getting at) is that other people will probably percieve your hair as longer than you do and think it looks pretty =).
hang in there - it will grow eventually (and seems to be doing so much better than mine!)

I think a lot of us have estimated where our hair will reach by a certain date and been disappointed that it wasn't there. Hair never grows fast enough, except for the hair on our legs :p I wish I'd enjoyed the growing out more. I was so focused on getting to waist, that I didn't try to enjoy APL and BS length hair.

It seemed that every time I'd analyze my growth and decide where it would be by a certain time, it quit growing for awhile. I soon learned who was in charge, or rather - who wasn't in charge (me).

I actually do karaoke DJing but I think she wants some regular music too, it is so fun. Sometimes we just turn it on at home and my husband the kids and I just sing for hours (expically when my MIL comes over, she just loves Patsy Cline ♥)
I know its growing and I'll have fun if I were bald  maybe I will just straighten it to get every last bit of lenght I can, lol

I think I am too focused on getting between apl & bsl, but I am trying to enjoy it right where its at, I did notice if I tell myself I like it right here and this is my goal and I dont want it any longer, then it seams to grow super fast, but I know Im just lying to myself that way, lol

Very well said. I'm just now learning to appreciate my hair nearing BSL length. I actually like it at this length, but I don't mind longer hair.
But to the OP, don't rush it and don't be disappointed! You should find the beauty in your hair at the length that it is. It really helps along the way.
This is coming from someone who lived in a community that believed that no person of color could grow long hair. I did it anyway, with patience and much love for my hair. That was the greatest recipe to grow my hair. You too can get there in due time.

I first got to waist back in March, and it often feels like it hasn't grown any further. Measuring and such, I know that is has grown, my mind just doesn't think so.
Maybe you should look up styles that work on SL hair to play with for now. I sure wish I played more with styles when I had shorter hair. Instead I left it down or put it in a pony.

Post writer, I was just thinking to myself yesterday when I saw this new pic you have how much your hair has grown and that you are my inspiration. I have layers, I wil have to cut around three inches of my hair just to make it even and prevent those layers from splitting. And my hair barely touches my back at the longest part. My front hair is shorter than at the back. Sigh. Going desperate here. I just want to have long hair so much.

I always pick women out at the store or whereever and ask the kids.."is my hair as long as hers? they usually tell me "no" just to make me mad

I totally know what you mean. I thought I would be full BSL (pulled straight) by the end of June, needless to say, that didn't happen. I just started grazing BSL in mid July. My other goal was to be waist by December but I'm not counting on that after my BSL experience lol
