Okay, I'm still on a quest to figure out how to do an upside down French braid. Every time I try it looks mostly like a mess.

I read on amazon that between pages 42 and 46 of this book is the "upside down" braid.

Does anyone have this book? Can you tell me if that section is a tutorial about French braiding from the nape of your neck up to the crown?

Work with gravity. Hang your head upside down. I did it laying on my back once and laying on my stomach once both over the couch. Standing works too but you have to bend and stay there until you're done. Otherwise it's the same procedure. Make sure that before you start the braid, you have to really smooth the hair into the direction you will be braiding it. Also, it will probably be a little poofier that usual because it's going against your natural direction. Furthermore, when you stand up it will be hanging against gravity again. I hope that helps.
