Does anyone have any experiences using Clairol's Herbal Essences Colorflirt Mousse ( temp color) - a "sparkling, low-risk temporary hair color with no ammonia, no peroxide"? I was cleaning out my bathroom cabinet (a virtual graveyard of abandoned hair experiments & products) and I came across this (still new in package). It has no ammonia or peroxides and washes out in 8-12 washes... so it's relatively low risk (I think)- but anyone hear of horror stories using it?
The color is CF 10 Bold Burgundy. While I love my dark hair- I've always had a deep envy of Burgundy/Merlot/violet-toned shades... I must of bought this at one point for some temp fun color...
I'm rather tempted to try it out....

I have used that a few times in the past...I wish they still made it, that stuff was fun! I didn't have any problems with it, and I used various red/burgundy/violet shades. At the time my hair was a faded auburn (colored, not natural) and it didn't take a long time to wash out. I'd only worry about it if your hair were light brown or lighter.

Depends on the other ingredients though. Some coloring mouses do have nasty things that make hair sticky (it is a mouse after all).

that doesn't sound like something anyone should put in their hair

it's a can of aerosol mousse- and anything that's packaged that way (pressurized aerosol can), always have butane/propane on the list because that's the propellants used to get it out of the can.

I've used some kind of temp colour mousse before. I don't know if that's the one you are posting about. I used dark brown shade on light brown hair and it washed out in no time, less than 5 washes.

I used it before (in '05 maybe). It took quite some time to fade. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if I still had some in my hair.
I used funky cherry, which was a bright cool pink/red shade

Butane and propane are just propellants, they don't actually go into the hair. :)
