I remember once seeing a tutorial (with either pictures or a movie) about how to do a french twist when you have really long hair. It involved folding the hair from the ends up until you reached the head and then I THINK it was to twist it and secure.

For the life of me I cannot find that tutorial anymore. Does anyone still remember it and know where it is? Don't bother with the articles, as it isn't in there.

I think Cinnamon Hair has a video like that on her website BeyondClassic. She has the link in her signature; sorry I do not have my bookmarks on this computer.

Oooh thanks, now I can try it for the first time in my life!
Uh Oh!
(for the hairdo of the month on the dutch forum)

But I don't really get how you go from twisting the clump towards that next really neat and smooth twist and how it gets under the sidehair.

Is there also a video?

Eresh, it mostly just takes practice. You (or at least I) just keep twisting it over and it sort of falls into place naturally. It doesn't seem like it should work, but it does. I secure mine with my Amish pins.
