Crown Braids

Just wondered if anybody is able to do a decent crown braid on themselves. Everytime I try I get a certain distance around my head, and then my arms won't reach any further, so I have to sort of flip to briad over in order to get around my head, and then there's a big lump in it. The only instructions anywhere I can find are on Dreamweaver braiding, but this only tells you how to do it on someone else. Anyone managed it on themselves?

I have but I really dislike it. I think it ages me about 20 years. Maybe it just makes me feel old. But anyway............
