*Waves* I ran into this site a few weeks ago I believe, and have been just reading the articles, but it looked like it might benefit me to join, so I did. xD;

I'm a 17 year old female. I have been growing my hair long since I was a child, but my mom kept making me cut it every so often. ><; The last time I cut it was February 2007 to about chin length. And now it's a little bit past my bra strap. Before I cut it it was probably half way between that and belly button length.

I'm actually having a hard time taking care of it now. My hair has always been really oily/greasy but it seems to be more noticeable the longer my hair gets. o.o Right now I am using a 'deep cleansing' shampoo, but even it doesn't always help to clean all of it out. The biggest problem is when it gets very oily, it clumps up, basically like if you had gotten out of the shower and your hair was still drying, only when you touch it it feels like there is cooking spray all over your hands. And that's only after a few days of not washing it. x.x;

Welcome to LHC!

My solution to oily hair that clumps together - is to oil it. I put a few drops (I don't know how much exactly, because I spray it) of jojoba on my fingers, then fingercomb my hair, concentrating on the clumps. This thins the oil in the clumps, and it doesn't clump any more.

Rose; Thanks. ^^

Pierre; M'kay, I definitely wouldn't thought of that on my own, but I'll give it a try. ^^
