Childhood hair...how I envy thee!

Wow did I ever take that hair for granted, I'm sure I most likely hated it back then! What I would give to have it back now *sigh*.

Anyone else want to share theirs? I do not get how hair is always so beautiful on kids!

Here was my hair when I was a little girl.

It made it to classic length before I cut it all off to shoulder length. My mother cried and cried when I did, and it was my aunt who took me to go do it. (She is the same aunt who gives me crap about having long hair now.)

I remember I hated my mom brushing my hair and it was an hour long struggle to get her to do it. And then she would get to a tangle and have to get a comb to work it through. I'd scream "NOT THE COMB!" and it's ironic now since I only use combs, lol.

How weird that you just posted this... My mom busted out some old home movies the other day, and there was one of my 10th birthday party.... OH MY..... I was drooling over my long, shiny, healthy hair... it was past mid-back length (which, since I was pretty short then would not be mid-back on me now of course) but WOW it was gorgeous.
I kept asking her "why did you make me cut it?!" haha, she wouldn't give me an answer.

You can see my album for pictures as I was growing up. I haven't cut off my hair, though, and there was never any state in there that I wish I was back to. Since I am the age some of you are saying "remember when.." for, I'll just admire y'all's pictures. :P

My childhood hair past the age of 5 resembles my adult hair. Only the color is different. I was a blonde as a kid and now I'm brown and turning grey.

It was mandatory in my family that girls have long hair.

I did have waist length hair when I was about 10 or 11 and I expressed wanting to get it cut real short and my father was appalled by the thought! lol

Unfortunately alot of childhood photos of my family are gone.
