A Curly (or in my case, lack there of) question

I've started to notice recently that the roots of my hair are very frizzy and undefined. And my simple question is: Is this new growth that I need to figure out how to define or am I still in the growing out stage and my hair is really this defined beautiful mass of curls just waiting to sprout out of my head(partly joking here).:)

Some people's curl pattern doesn't really get going until a little further away from the scalp; that could be what you've got happening. I'm not sure if there's anything to be done about it, just the way it goes.

OTOH, if they curl all the way to the roots sometimes but not others, you may be able to coax it into doing it all the time by adjusting moisture level/product/drying method or something. :shrug:
