I don't think I know how to search. Everytime I have searched for a thread on this, I come up with one thread that has to do with how you secure your cinnabun.

I found the old archived thread in a search on the internet.

I just cant get the gist of this bun. I have seen the pictures of it and it is a very stunning bun.

I don't remember there being a video either. I would have bookmarked it in a hot minute.

Would someone mind explaining to me how to make this bun. I'm very excited to add it to the updos I am able to do now.

My brain just doesn't seem to be communicating with my hands.

If you really did spell it "Gibralter", that'll be the problem. It's "Gibraltar".

Ah! Of course.

My brain has problems sometimes.

Thank you both!

If we are on the topic already - I have a Gibraltar bun variation that does not require anchoring the hairstick in the scalp hair (for hairstick-anchoring challenged people like me). Twisting and wrapping the hair resembles alot a beebutt bun (like cinnabun but when the coils go one under the other). I hold 2 fingers to the left and right of the base and do the first coil around them to make it wider, then I tightly coil the rest under it (and under the fingers too, of course). I take the hairstick and poke it where one of the fingers is (say, to the right of the base), then I go though under all the tight coils and the base, when I get to the other side, I slide it where my other finger is, over the wide first coil. I hope you followed this. This bun holds so well and it is so easy to do, it's my everyday bun.

How about this? http://www.io.com/~cortese/hair/styling.html (http://www.io.com/%7Ecortese/hair/styling.html) :)I learned from Cortese's instructions also.

Here's my effort (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/blog.php?b=9302), in case it's useful. :)
