So, here is my length history, with the latest update at the bottom. I am now 77 cm (30 inches), growing slowly but steady with 1 cm/month. No cutting since nov -07. Only a tiny self trim of ½ cm (1/4 inch) in feb. I cut like 300 strands, so it was well worth it to even it out a little bit. :) I always plan on doing S&Ds, but have only taken the nape hair (where I find the most splits) like three times, never completed the whole head.

In the fall I'm going to the hair dresser and getting a nice trim with V-cut to make myself all set to travel to fairy tale ends. :) My first goal of waist is only inches away and I am now confident that I will go on way beyond that. :)

It is really pretty, and does indeed look silky and healthy. Does it feel as nice as it looks? :)

It looks like you had long layers in the first pic that don't show in the bottom ones, so it grew much more than you thought!!! And you are just at the length to be able to do a lot of interesting updos. Congrats on all your efforts, they have paid off. ^_^

Thank you all for your kind replies. :) I love watching progress pics, so I had to share mine too. :)

I like my color to, when it shows from its best side. Most of the time though it just looks dark blond and dirty, even when it isn't. I sometimes think about getting some highlights (done it before, it was awesome in my hair!) or go strawberry blond, but then I freak out about maybe harming my hair and decide not to.

It is soft, my strands are fine and when it's clean and moisturized it's like silk. :) That is something new that came with CO and I love it! :) Before my hair was either dry like straw or greasy, the few hours in between those two often occurred during night, so I couldn't enjoy it...

I think my layers don't show off as much anymore due to natural shedding and breakage. They just melts in with the other hair better now. I still see quite some tapering for the last 1/3 of the hair.

Great progress -it looks lovely. Has it gotten wavier with length?

No, it hasn't. It's just a combination of my long wave form (show better with length) and me learning what my hair wants in order to produce them (moisture and lots of moisture.) I think I might even be a 2b or 2c with shorter lengths, I sure have a lot of frizz and curls going on with the shorter strands. With even more growth the waves might disappear, they already tend to stretch out themselves after a day, even when untouched. I am hoping to get some nice end curls if I succeed in my attempt to grow fairy tale ends. :)
