I used to have my barber trim my ends but a year ago she was going to even the ends and I felt that she cut too much off and I lost all the length that I had gained was on the floor. So my ends haven't been cut in over a year. I don't have any split ends but it is uneven but I am finally getting some length. I have been taking hair nails and skin vitamins for the last two months and can see a big difference in my nails and skin and my hair seems to grow faster. I will be happy when I get another 6" to 8" and then I'll go back and let her even the ends up. What is everyones thoughts on end trimming?

I don't have much of an opinion about trimming since I go back and forth on the idea.

I just wanted to say, I really like your hair and the color is wonderful. :inlove:

I hate to spend money on 1/2 inch trims! I haven't been to a salon in 2 years....I know that your hair is probably too short right now to do it yourself, but perhaps enlist a loved one, someone you trust, to do a microtrim. I know how frustrating it is to lose all your length by a careless hairstylist, but a friend could do just as good of a job as a barber. If you are still too worried about taking off too much, have a friend tape a straight line along the bottom of your hair with the amount you want trimmed below the tape. That way there is no confusion! I hope that helps! It is up to you though and if you don't have split ends than perhaps you should just wait.
