Four years at LHC - pictures

I joined this site on July 26th, 2005. My hair was shoulder-length and layered after a bad salon haircut and subsequent repair of the damage done:

I tried to gain length while at the same time getting rid of the layers bit by bit.


This one was in November 2006, and I think I must have done something right at that time - I think it was CO washes:

It is freshly washed in this pic, still slightly damp, combed out with a very wide-toothed comb (viking-boat oar type).



From shoulders to hip in four years isn´t awfully fast, but I did a lot of small trims along the way. Time flew by, I can´t believe it´s been that long since I joined! My hair goal changed from waist to hip to tailbone to maybe classic during those four years.

Ah, I well remember that first picture. I think it was your sig for a while, yes? There was always something about that picture that resonated with me. I imagined that that was a cliff along the coast behind you. A very appealing image.

Raederle, yes, that is a cliff coast on Gran Canaria. It was a lonely secluded beach miles from anywhere. You had to walk through the mountains for - I don´t remember, two hours? And then there was this beach. It´s called playa de Guigui. Here (http://www.kriki.de/archiv/459.html) is a very nice website documenting the hike (unfortunately it is in German, but there are lots of pictures).

Melisande, I think the biggest change for me was to quit commercial shampoo, and of course to wear my hair up every day. I never did any really horrible things to my hair even pre-LHC - for instance, I never blowdried or heatstyled my hair.
