Hi all!

The boring bits first: Prices include First Class US Shipping. I'll ship internationally but it'll be a bit more. I will take Paypal or Money orders from US residents. I had 20+ positive trader ratings on the old LHC or you can check out the Trader Rating thread for more on me. :)

ETA: I am primarily wanting to sell, but as far as swapping, I'd be interested in oils, that's about all just now.

MONKTHEMONK HAIRSTICK

I recently acquired this lovely stick from icydove. It's really lovely but even in the short time I've had it, I'm reaching for my other singles. It's a very nice stick and it deserves a good home!

Made by monkthemonk, it is super smooth and exquisitely crafted. The actual wood is uncertain but rumor has it the shaft is bocote. I love the dark brown detail at the top.

The full length of the stick is 6", the usable length is 5 1/4"

LARGE HAIRSCROOS
These came from LisaJaney. I, um, already own some hairscroos... so as I have others and don't use these, they are on offer here. I have not worn them save for a bun experiment or two at home. They are as new and come with instructions. They are black and measure 2.5 inches long.

LARGE TORTOISE COMB
This piece belonged to my grandmother. I have no idea how old it is but it's been in my possession for years and I have never worn it. It's a large comb - end to end it is 4" and tip to top at the widest point 2 1/4". I do not know what it is made out - it feels like plastic but might be some older type of material. The tines are all present, and in perfect condition. They are smooth and actually a bit flexible, they have a bit of give. There is a row of fake gems at the top - some of these have darkened with age but they are all firmly placed.

Late again for the party. :wail:
That monkthemonk would've made a nice addition...

Oh well- I've probably spent enough this past week on hair toys anyway. :D

The fun thing about this monkthemonk hairstick is that it forms a cute mismatched pair with my Arts in Crafts (Luis Gonzalez) hairstick.

Thanks PsuedoScot.

It is like a mother and child stick. Too bad the colors don't show up as nice in the picture. They are so much more lovely and strikingly alike in wood. It really looks as if they were made to go together.

Thanks for the hair compliment. My hair is still so short that there isn't much there to love just yet. But I'm working on it!

I LOVE MY COMB! Thank you so much! It is such a darling little treasure and the box you sent it in was soooo cute! :D Thank you again I am very happy!

*Silver and Gold* Is that the length of your hair now?*

The picture was taken a few months ago but I had a trim so I don't think my hair is too much longer now. I joined in December and took the picture just before the boards went down I believe, whenever that was. I've also had a trim since then. So although my hair is a tiny bit longer, it's still roughly that length. Why do you ask? I've got a cassia treatment in my hair right now, perhaps I should take an update picture and see for myself . . . now you got me wondering.

HA! I am thrilled! That is the length my "split end trim" turned into! I was past my bra strap and arm pits and then hacked off to exactly your length! I am thrilled to see what you can do with it...gets me outta the dumps! Besides your color is heavenly :D
*Sorry about the hijack!*

S&G, your hair IS lovely. It's such a nice color and drapes so nicely, I love the slight curl, too!

HippieChick, I am so glad you like the comb! :)

Well, I'm glad to know that you're encouraged. I can't imagine getting my hair to BSL and having it cut to where I am now. I would be pretty bummed out too!
I've actually managed to use hairsticks since around August when my hair was much shorter but my daughter-in-law couldn't do the same because her hair was all one length and thicker.
Somehow the layers actually made it easier to use a hairstick when my hair was shorter. Now that I have the trims my hair is approaching all one length. I say approaching . . . I still have bangs growing out that are about chin length now and then everything tapers toward the back. If I find time when I finish my treatment and dry my hair I'll post a current length picture for you.

Just for you HippieChick, I created a post (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=3488) with a photo of my current length so you can see how it compares with your own.

The scroos arrived today :)

They're the first I've had, and I'm quite happy with them
