I used an SMT batch as a CO this morning and left it in for 30 minutes before I rinsed. Does this also count as a deep conditioning treatment? In other words does it deep moisturize while cleansing?
Thanks!

You know, I've wondered about this too, and if I was a scientist I'd try to figure out where the line is- you have to leave CO on for a certain amount of time to get good cleansing out of it, and then a bit longer than that to get deep conditioning- how does that all work, exactly?
I'm no help. But there's alot of brain under all that LHC hair, maybe someone will enlighten us!

It's a fine line between cleansing en deep conditioning it seems, haha!
But seriously, I've been wondering the same thing.....
Maybe that it's only cleansing when it's a light conditioner and only conditioning when it's a heavy condish?

 This one has me perplexed.
One of my hair goals right now is to do a deep conditioning moisture treatment 1-2x per week and I don't know if when I CO with an SMT if that counts, or if I should CO, then reapply the SMT and leave on for another hour to condition?
Can a product/mixture cleanse while moisturizing? Does it have to be either/or?
Maybe I should just do another (different) DC treatment after washing just to make sure? I don't know...:(

I don't know - but my hair thrives on both co-wash and deep conditioning treatment. What I've done lately is to use a very thick, heavvy conditioner as both - I plaster it on to dry hair, leave it for about an hour, and then just lather up and rinse out. My hair usually feels fabulous afterwards!
I'm doing the smae tomorrow with a modified SMT (I leave out the AVG) - I'll just use it as both a deep treatment and a co-wash, if that makes sense!
