I haven't been lurking very long, but I have already gained a wealth of information from everyone here - thanks!
I have been growing my hair out from a couple of inches long since, roughly, junior high, which is - eh hem - a good amount of years. It was mainly a defense mechanism as my hair is riotously curly, poodle-style, when short and the length has tamed it to a manageable wave.
I used to have it trimmed every once in awhile, but after loosing a hair stylist who didn't salivate at the thought of cutting my hair short, I gave up entirely and am letting it do its own thing (which is now about 45")
It's also nice to be in a place where I'm not constantly harassed to cut my hair off for LOL < sigh > :D (btw, if there's a thread for appropriate responses to this, please point me to it!)
And since I just started knitting, I feel the need to use this icon -> :knit:. Sweet.
