I've used permanent dyes (over a year ago), then switched to henna (which I found out had metallic salts in), then for the last 10 weeks or so, I've switched to baq henna/indigo.
My question is if anybody knows what exactly in hair dyes can cause the 'fried green hair' effect if used on 'bad' henna?
I'm just trying to find a way to cover my roots, and I'm so tired of the hassle involved with the henna, as much as I love it. I wondered if I could get away with using a semi/demi permanent colour just for the roots until I can face henna again, does anybody have any experience of switching back?
Any advice very much appreciated! :)
