I tried to do a search, but I'm still a bit confused. :o What constitutes classic length? Waist, tailbone, fingertip, BSL, knee... those all seem fairly straightforward to me, but what makes classic CLASSIC? And where does the term come from?

Seems to me I read a thread about this a few months back, but like I say, I can't seem to find it now, LOL!

Thanks in advance! :)

I can answer this one!!:D

Classic is just below your butt where your buttocks meet your thighs.

I am exactly at that length..just looks a bit weird because of the dress on my avatar, but check out the side view below.

Classic was a popular length in romantic times as far as I know but maybe someone else has more on that. :)

I thought classic was when it reaches right under the buns LOL.

I JUST got done showing my DH that exact picture of YOU! :D He doesn't want me to turn into some sort of "crazy cat lady" (which he somehow associates with long hair past waist), so your photos were very helpful as a counter example. ;)

Thanks for the clarification!
