Hair growth progress for nine months :) updated january 4 2010

April (the day I cut it all off to start over, it felt... awful):

The only thing I've been doing is giving myself scalp massages, and I'm also eating silica, kind of like "hair skin and nails". that's it! I treat it nice too, (almost :rolleyes:) no flat iron, I don't wash it often, no blow dryer, NO TRIMMING! I s&d sometimes but I rarely find split ends and that kind of crap anymore, yaaay!

Maybe it's just what it seems like. You notice the difference more when you grow your hair from short, only 1 inch makes such a difference! When I had longer hair it felt as if my hair was standing still at mid-back forever too :rolleyes:

I'm actually blonde and died my hair dark brown but during the sommer it's gone much lighter, so now it's a warm, light brown almost redish color with a bit blonde shining through. It sounds awful but I like it. :rolleyes:
I take some multivitamin stuff for skin, hair and nail which for example contains biotin.

Wow! As soon as I read that you'd chopped your hair off in April I was extremely curious for I done the same thing in March. Damage made me decide to cut to approx 1 inch below my ears so to see how much you've grown in six months has shocked me. Well done - I'm skimming my shoulders now....what your hair will be like in another six months will be fascinating!
How long do you intend to go without trimming? I haven't touched mine yet and intend to wait at least another year. I'm trying to grow out dye.
Good luck and do post more pictures - I'm looking forward to seeing them.

I haven't either, I do S&D sometimes but I think that's enough, it feels healthy. I intend to do a really small one in january next year though, after christmas and new year and everything, like a fresh start! But I'm freaking out over it, haha! my hairdressers often tend to trim DOUBLE of what I ask for..
