Delurking and two questions

Hello everyone! I stopped posting for awhile, but still lurked around. This post is kind of a delurk for me, since I have two questions for y'all. One is my hairtype. I had always thought it was stick straight, but when I let it air dry, I notice some lovely waves (which I've kind of always wanted). That brings me on to my second question, am I at waist length? After having looked at these photos, it seems I'm actually a little bit past it. Here are some pics of my hair brushed out:

Not a clue about the hairtype, sorry. I haven't even for sure figured my own out.

But that looks solidly at waist to me, and maybe a bit past. And really, really nice.
