I know I'm a two of some sort, but I can't figure out what level... Any help would be appreciated!

It actually normally curls more when wet, that was washed with gentle bodywash and air dried, no conditioner, just a tiny bit of oil rubbed onto the ends to keep them from getting too velcro-ish.

I'm not great at hairtyping, but I'd venture to say a 2a. Very pretty hair, Kiraela!

I would guess you are a 2a when I look at your picture. I think it's difficult to classify 2a-2c hair because the wave pattern can be so different in the same head of hair.
Of course it's hard to see the second classifier in a photo but are you sure you have C hair? I have always thought that coarse hair was mostly common in asian and native hair. But what do I know,my hair is very fine:D

Oh, I forgot to tell you how pretty your hair is Kiraela! :flower:

Aww, thanks granitbaby! My ends are mostly f/m, but much of the upper canopy, especially is a mix of M and C. Mostly the darker strands.

I'd say you're a pretty solid 2a.

I'd say 2b with 2c potential with a little more moisture/conditioner. Very pretty hair.

Thanks glasseyes! Thanks speckla! It does tend to curl a bit more with conditioner, but I thought hairtyping was supposed to be how it would be without any other outside influences. I only have pics of my hair conditioned without being combed, that are wet. Should I post one for comparison?

I think hairtyping should be done with your normal routine, only without being touched by a comb after and air-dried. So if you normally use conditioner and it's more wavy, then I say go for it. I've never posted a hairtyping picture on here without conditioner.

Okay, here's what it looks like when still half wet, with my regular routine, except no combing has been done.

Okay, now that looks around 2c. xD; Maybe with something that had hold in it, it'd be that wavy dry.

What would you reccommend?

hairtyping should be on dry hair so I would say 2b-2c. and very pretty too!
