I usually don't like hat-things, because they don't look good on me, but then I saw this thing online:

(sorry for the long link, don't know how to shorten it)

You can't really call it a hat, because it's so tiny, but I really like it.
I've seen it before, and you can pin it on the hair with bobby pins.
And I'm going to have a nice party next month, so that would be a good oppurtunity to wear it :)

But...with what kind of updo should I wear such a hat-thingy?
I've been thinking about it, but I just know a lot of haircuts with sticks, which won't look really nice. I have between waist-hiplenghth hair and quite a lot of it.

Suggestions, anyone? :)

I think you could still wear a hair stick or fork with that hat. Just angle the stick parallel to the hat.

How are you with French braids? An off-centre braid that curls down and around one side of your head and is bunned under the hat would look fantastic!

Even a low, and maybe off-centre, cinnabun would look fine. Or regular braided bun, or rose bun. Anything, really! --As long as it sits nice and low.

Great hat! I made a similar one for a party a few months ago; I parted my hair on the side and twisted peices back on either side of my face, pinned those, and then made a low bun. The twists looked really nice with the hat perched between them, off-center.

Not the best photo of the hair, but lookit:

ETA: I used pins for the bun; it was just a boring wrap bun. But I think a hairstick style could work if the sticks were short and the bun low.

I'm quite good at braiding, so I'll give that a try. :)

And Roseate, what a gorgeous hat:heartbeat
