Oh Manderly, your hair is gorgeous! Those spirals at the end - too lovely. I'd give anything for waves like yours... but will never get them. :(

ReddishRocks: When I feel like my hair isn't growing, I just look at last year's pics and remember that while it's not perceptable now, it will be in a few months. I <3 my waves too (those turned into loose spiral-y curls as the day wore on).

Oh Manderly - do you think I didn't try? I did. *insert bitter tears here....* Nothing will hold in my hair. As soon as I open the twisted parts, my hair falls straight again. I tried with smaller parts but - no, my hair doesn't want to be wavy. That's why I'm in awe with yours.

There's not too much length difference, really. But the virgin/dyed demarcation is much much lower, and the goldenbronze dyed section is much smaller!

thanks glennagirl - I am trying to grow out the top layer to be closer to the hemline because it's waaay up there.. haha. you cant really tell in this small pic but there is a pic of it in my album.

Here is my before & after.
The one on the left is about 4 years ago. I grew for 3 then trimmed for a year to thicken it up. I am now letting it grow some more.

Queensland's one of the Australian states, I don't know which off the top of my head, but I think it's in the southeast.

According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queensland), it's actually in the northeast.

WelshLocks, Queensland car license plates have "the sunshine state" on them. Each state and territory in Australia has a common saying to it. The states/territories are often referred to it by the sayings rather than it's proper name.

I have a progress ticker, shows my growth in 6-month intervals. Not "true length" straightened hair photos, but you can see my hair's length in my signature. So you can compare that to my hair's beginning length. :D

LadyLibra very cool how you have your pics on that ticker! I can see your hair growing long before my very eyes :)

My own hair growth can be seen by looking at my avatar which was taken January 2008 and my siggy pic was was a few months ago. My hair has not been trimmed since the first pic was taken.

where did you make that at I would love to do something like that..
That can be achieved through a program like paint. Just gotta re-size your pictures to a thumbnail size. Then copy and paste them next to each other and type underneath.

You sure? The German (male) exchange students we get at uni take off their shirts as soon as they see a patch of blue sky... Which, as this is Sydney, is most of the time... >_o

(I'm serious about the not wearing shirts thing: of the ten or so guys who I've known on exchange from Germany in my Maths and Physics classes, all of them did this.)

Oh yes, I can see a difference! But it always feels the same. I can do buns now that I couldn´t do then, but somehow my brain still hasn´t quite wrapped itself around the fact that my hair is long. Then I see a back-of-head-pic and think "is that my hair??" :D

It might be because the weather is so horrid in Germany (not right now, though ;) ) that one has to take advantage of every little ray of sunshine.
