My ends are so much thicker and fuller... no split ends either since I no longer heat style! I use coconut oil and I braid often to protect it. I also love the U hemline I am achieving. I still have a long ways to go but so far so good, if I do say so myself :-P

It looks great! I love the U hemline too. Your ends look so much thicker. Really beautiful. That's what i want. My hair is close to the same length as yours.

Yu have done what i need to do.I am so sad but I need probably a 2 inch chop. And then some micro trims to get my heat styled, falt ironed, bleached blond and then dyed brown again (now faded to a wierd red) crunchy, tangely, split ends gone.

It's got to be hard to watch yourself lose length in the short term, but the end result looks really good I think. :) Thanks for sharing!

I did it gradual to ease the pain and shock of it lol. I cut maybe a total of 2.5 - 3 inches off but honestly I think it looks 10x better a little shorter with thick even ends than longer and very scraggly like I was before. It'll be trimming frequently for a long time (ridding all of my layers) though until I'm happy to just let it grow.

That's a great series of pictures. Very interesting if you don't understand how tiny trims work. I hope this helps some who would otherwise go for a chop ... that makes them feel bad. Your hair looks great!!!! Very good work.

This is really what I need to be doing, but I just can seem to bring myself to do it. Your results look great. Maybe I can finally find the courage to even up my layers once and for all.

Wow, what a difference! Although you lost some length, the U hemline really shapes your hair beautifully and makes your ends look so thick. Good job!!!

It looks gorgeous! The ends are looking great, and it doesn't look like you've sacrificed length at all. Just goes to show you what a little patience can achieve! :)
