How to for Figure 8 updo?

I saw a beautiful coil updo called a figure 8 and I was hoping someone here could offer me some advise how it might be done. Here is the link

I'm not sure I have enough hair :confused:to pull it off, nevertheless I loveee it and I will want to do it someday:)

The figure 8 is easy :) Take a look around the site and I'm sure you'll find instructions.

Basically, you make one coil of hair by twisting, then make another directly underneath it. Then you flip the first one up and lay it against your head and secure with hairsticks or the tool of your choice.

I just hate it when I see something is "easy" and I can't get it to work to save my right hand and both feet!!!! ;o(

I used to be able to get a figure 8, sort-a-almost like; now it's joined my skills in performing the infinity bun: Non-Existant! Oh, boo, hoo, hoo.....!!

And Blue Willow, you should have plenty of hair. However, it probably won't look like the one you fell in love with on You Tube. JJJ's hair is the stuff of myth and legend! Amazing.

Torrin Paige, who posts here, has some AWESOME video tutorials on YouTube, and the figure 8 is one of them. Just search for her name and you'll get a bunch of cool videos.

I learned the figure 8 and finally, *finally* how to do a decent rope braid from her. And a Chinese bun.... I'm kind of a hair klutz and I can do all the styles she shows, thanks to her. (And she's got disgustingly gorgeous hair, too!)
