Where is your favorite place to buy henna?

What is your favorite henna? Do you have one?

I am thinking of just ordering samples - the ebay seller I used to buy my henna from hasn't had any listings recently so I'm looking else where. I've used Jamila crop 2007 and *sigh* I don't remember what the other henna was - I only used it once but it's not in my freezer and I have no clue where it went. (For body art). I had used it for my test hair - but it's disappeared so I will definitely be buying more.

And I need some Cassia... Looking for a good supplier of that. There is one seller on ebay - buuut I'm not 100% convinced - good price, maybe too good? I didn't like the look of their henna products (any seller that lists "henna pens" makes me leery of their knowledge of henna). (if you just go to ebay and search Cassia you'll find the one seller) Is there anything I should be aware of when shopping for Cassia?

I should also ask - what was your original color before henna?
What color did you achieve?

I found a thread about where to buy Cassia (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=9185)

And I know several of you have mentioned on other threads that you like to buy your henna from: Mehandi.com (http://www.mehandi.com/shop/hairhenna.html)

I've bought from Henna Sooq and Henna for hair. Both good sources. I got my last batch at my local indian store, which you should check out if you're close to one. Henna is cheap. $2-3. Online is more costly.

I use the henna from HERE (http://www.halalco.com/henna.html). The Jamilla is real cheap, I had had good service and a nice red color.

I could never get them to reply to a question. Are they a secure server, and does the Jamila have a stamp of when it was made? :)

If you can get Jamila henna for hair locally, that will be inexpensive and very good henna.

Online, I've had great stuff from Castle Art and Mehandi.

I've paid $2 per box for Hesh BAQ henna in my local Indian grocery and while the texture was not as fine (sand, no twigs, just not as fine a sift) the color was decent (not quite as intense as the BAQ henna from the sellers I mention above). Definitely inferior to Jamila henna for hair, but worth using if saving money is part of your criteria.

Ya, Jamila is good stuff! I got it for $3 a box at H4H, but there's still shipping.
