So excited! This is the first time ever I got a whole inch in a month! From 24 to 25.1. :joy:

How about you? :)

From 20.27 to 20.47, not much, but I did trim away at least 0.4" last week. :D

Half an inch since last month, and I have reached 33 inches.

That's great!

Mine has been moving at just under and inch a month. Four months ago I started at just over 18" and now it's just under 22". I'm really excited, but also expecting it to stall out soon.

Overall, 19 inches. Front piece 8 5/8ths inches. December it was 8. I cut it though in March, so I've regained the length I cut and gained! :D

History:

December 9th : 7 inches length in front
December 20th:7.25 inches
December 30th: 7.5 inches
January 19th: 8 inches
February 3rd: 8 inches.
February 18th: 8.25 inches.
March 2nd: 8.5 inches.

March 17th: Cut.
June 1st: 8 5/8ths inches/ 19 inches overall.

(I'm 16 inches away from goal!)

I seem to have gone backwards! Now I'm only at 16.5." Apparently my hairdresser did more than a microtrim on the bottom of my layers. He probably thinks I need to even up this layering, which is true but I wanted to at least get a solid shoulder length before I did!

I only had 0.25 inches of growth over the last month. Hoping for more this month!

Now my length is 43.25 inches.

I'm at 37 3/4''. Sadly only 1/4" gain. I usually get 1/2". I'm getting it trimmed this week so it really doesn't matter. I just need to make note of the length for record keeping.

Great growth ladies. I just joined otherwise I would post my growth haha but I don't really know. This is definitely inspiring though.

47" here. I measured it three times to be sure. I'm a slow grower! It's been about 1/4" a month, but it seems to be picking up lately. I think it grew 3/4" last month.

Sweet. I'm sitting at 25(finally)

History:
November: 21"
December: 21 1/2"
January: 22"
February: 23"(a whole inch!)
March: 23 1/2 "
April: 24 "
May 24 1/2"
June: a solid 25 "

This means I've hit my first goal of bsl(upper not lower) and am well on my way to Midback.
So I should be getting there in about 6 months(december). Waist is next which will take considerably longer time(about 1 year or so)
I can't wait. :)

51.75" So that's a 0.25" gain in May. Meh.

BUT I'm shedding really badly right now, so I'm honestly surprised it's a gain at all...April was no growth and March was a loss of 0.25", so I'll gladly take that 0.25" back. It was 52" a few days ago, though....

24.5 for June. I had to trim 1.5 inch because of splits, then grew .5 in 2 weeks! It looks like my growth may be faster in the wamer months.

Last month I reported an inch of growth, from 18 - 19". Just barely, but I was glad to have it. Sad for me but this month my back is stalled though my sides are moseying along and my nails won't stop. So for me it all evens out to about 1/2 inch growth a month. I was hoping last month's burst was a great indicator of lots of growth to come, but nooooooooooooo....

Still tail bone... I guess its a longer tail bone, but I am not sure.

I gained 3/4" this month, up to 34 1/4", and reached my minigoal of hip length! :joy: It seems like all the TLC I'm giving my hair is finally beginning to pay off - a few months ago, I only got this much growth after large trims, and now I'm beginning to gain this much length with a fairytaleing hemline. I really hope it continues like this, but I'm still dealing with breakage and damaged ends, so anything could happen. I'm also due for a small trim, as well as a major S&D-mission, so I think the real celebration of my milestone will have to wait until after that.

I'm at 37"!!!!

1/2 an inch may not seem like a lot but it's twice my usual growth! This Mega-Tek must be working! Woot!!!!

I think I got about an inch. I'm at 27.75 like last month, but I trimmed about an inch. I grew an inch the previous month too, so I'm assuming that's about right. Nice.

34.5 \o/

It's only a half-inch since the last time I measured it (early in May?), but I'll take what I can get - I've been feeling lately like it isn't growing at all.

Get a flexible measuring tape and measure from the hairline at the top of your forehead down the back of your head to your longest length hair. Also, you can do it with a string and measure that if you have nothing flexible. If your hair isn't straight, you can stretch it straight, but be careful not to pull it out too much.

I don't entirely recall when I last measured (maybe a month or so, but I'm not sure), but I'm at somewhere between 30.5 and 31 inches, so I've grown about half an inch since last time. :)

32". I don't know what's up. I know my hair is growing. I have roots showing since my last henna!! But the measuring tape shows no difference. I swear I have been 32 for about 4 months!

This month though I'm not too worried. I trimmed all my split ends off so about .5" or so.

But next month...if there is no change I'm going to go crazy!!! Gaah!

I was 25.5"(curly) in May at BSL.

Due to heavy shedding, I had to cut; losing 3".

Now I am 21.5" curly, and 26" pulled straight.

My hair is happier, though.

About a 16th short of 30 in., following a trim on the 21st from 34 in to 29 in (or 29 and 1/16 in... No longer than that.)

Can I get some tips on measuring please!? :) Do you do it wet or dry, and do you have someone help you? I've done it from my hairline down my back, but its hard to tell... I can only tell that it is "around" 18.5. Any tips?

DBF said 45...I think he's wrong but..

nimeera
June 6th, 2009, 08:56 PM
What is important is that you are consistent, either always measuring wet or always measuring dry. Your hair will be longer when wet, both from being flatter and from being a little stretched out.

My hair is wavy but I measured dry, and combed down. I found that I could measure by hanging the tape down my back, pulling the hair down to the tape, pinching the tape where the hair ends, then bringing it around my side so I could see the measure. Funny thing is that this time my hair was almost too long to reach the end down the tape!

You might have a friend help you measure. Too long or too short seems to be hard to do by yourself.

29 inches, give or take. My friend wasn't around, so I had to measure it myself.

From .5 inches to 5.3 inches... I'd say that's an improvement, especially over seven months.
