I love the lion one. I want to wear it to the renaissance fair! It would look great with a fancy red and gold dress.

They do stuff like this all the time at hair shows. They're made with real hair, but they're falls and wigs. Really neat, though. I love art in unusual mediums.

Meh, it's nothing compared to what came out of 18th Century France lol

I have to laugh because this is the 3rd thread I have seen on these since I joined LHC. They are wigs but it seems they added some more since I last saw them :)

*chuckle* Hear hear. It's still pretty interesting seeing them though. Now if there was a little video clip of the model with the lion style running around going "roar roar!" I might be a little more interested/really amused. I mean the hair can only speak for itself so much.

I wouldn't run around with those on my head, but it's a cool piece of art.

They're pretty darn cool, and they would be fun to wear to some sort of Faire, etc! Thanks for posting them

I like the walrus best, with the tusks hanging down :)

That rabbit one looks exceedingly malevolent, like he'd fly through the air and rip out your jugular. :bunny::run:

If they did make one I think that one would be my favourite and not the walrus.

omg that is hilarious!!! I LOVE the elephant and the goat though. They might be real who knows. It looks like they are taking the girls hair and putting it on top of her head and then sculpting it from there. Its insane. They are probably using like pomade or hair glue for it. Imagine trying to get that out of your hair NIGHTMARE! lol.

This has been posted about a few times, too, Mandy, but you may be entertained by extreme poodle grooming.

Those are awesome! I really liked the antlers, elephant, and rhino definately. I must say I also have a soft spot for giraffs, but they should have given it a bit more of a neck. Fun stuff.

Those are hair hats created by japanese artist Nagi Noda, who passed away very recently. :/ She was so young and talented...seriously, these are amazing works of art. I was blown away when I first discovered them.

Those are quite interesting. Most of them look like they are made from wigs or hair extensions, but some could be done with the models' own hair. I imagine they could be made with the hair on your head if there was enough of it and you wanted to have glue or another very sticky, hard-drying substance in your hair.

They actually remind me very much of the costumes for the Broadway production of the Lion King. The actors and actresses wore their animals masks on top of their heads in most cases, rather than on their faces.

This is the first time I have see hair like this and it is...... different. I would laugh REALLY hard if I saw someone with a hair sculpted animal unless it was a special event or Halloween or something!! I have seen some ornate hair styles here on the ladies with type 4 hair, but no animals! :poot:
