In October 2007 my son got married (17th October). So I know what day this photo was taken (sorry about the quality)

http://www.elvenhair.com/hairphotos/hair_october2007.jpg

As you can see, you can't get much shorter! (I was horribly ill, had just come out of hospital a few days before. The next day I lost my voice for 3 months)

This is now, May 2009 - 19 months later (less a few days because we took this photo a couple of weeks ago)

Again - it's not long since I've been in hospital (pneumonia again!) and I was on heavy antibotics and my hair didn't grow at all for 2 months! But thanks to MN, since January this year, dispite those 2 months, I've had at least 3 - 4 inches.

My hair hasn't been cut at all, not even S&D, since the wedding. I can't see any damage yet.

Wow, that's beautiful! And only 19 months! I have super short hair at the moment, hope mine grows as fast as yours! How ever did you cope with the awkward mid-lengths without cutting your layers out? :o

Wow, it's grown into a beautiful shape without any cutting, you usually see a 'mullet' effect when you grow out from short, I know I did. Is that your natural colour or henna?

I mostly ignored my hair, stuck it up as soon as I could. I don't go out, work from home, so it doesn't matter what I look like as much as it would to someone who went to work every day.

I plan to get to waist, maybe, before I pause and even the layers. I might do it sooner if it starts to get unhealthy looking.

The colour is from a bottle I'm afraid. I keep thinking "I'll let it go grey natually" but I start to look so old! Henna I'm afraid of at this time because I don't want the grey to go orange and I don't want to relax my curl.

Many thanks!

Health - still working on it. Pneumonia two years running with asthma inbetween and now high cholestrol means a lot of drugs in system that probably aren't hair friendly!

Can you just seem me asking my doctor as she writes out a perscription "Is that hair friendly?"
