I know someone beat me to it with a Eurovision thread but I wanted to comment on the hair. I was mesmerised how long the beautiful hair of a lot of the female singers and dancers was, as well as the range of texture!(I loved the curls of Israel and long) Lol I guess even the standards for hair have improved! :D:D:D

I said it before and I'll say it again - Serbia (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnjaGb3oavk) should have qualified based on hair alone.

And the Armenian (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuFqmOtiiwI) singers (sisters) had braids down to their hips. Here's (http://www.style.am/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/inga-anush-arshakyan-fresh-art-eurovision_7.jpg) a good picture of them. Probably not their real hair, but still. :)

I loved the hair of one of the Israeli singers, and the Swedish one as well.

On the other side of the spectrum, I thought that the Spanish singer's short blonde crop was really cute and suited her well.

Estonia 's hair was amaaaazin too, fake colour probs but still gorgeous. Yeah at first with Armenia I was like wow but then it dawned on me that suspiciously enough they all had identical hair, back up dancers and all :D

Am I the only person here who thinks that was perhaps one of the weirdest videos ever?

I mean I have the sound turned down but I may not understand it better with the sound turned up either...

What was with the blonde chick doing a split on the floor and frowning? Did she do it wrong?

Am I maybe just totally out of the loop??

I thought that the hair was great this year. Lots of curls and long, fairytaley hair.

I can't remember half the countries because I was looking at the hair and laughing at the translations of songs.

There was a really strong Arabian trend running through it too, with the outfits and bellydance type music and even some of the songs. Could that be related to the hair?

Or do they just all know long hair is much more visually pleasing, and were trying to keep us happy?

Yeah, weird is right. The song is about a shoe, and also about a girl (the chorus translated goes "She didn't, didn't, didn't want me, until I got very rich")... so I suppose the girl is meant to act spoilt or something, hence having a tantrum? I don't know where the shoe comes into it.

Anyway, I voted for this song! Say what you will about my musical taste. :disco:
