So this is my hair is it's glorious natural state. I poo bar washed it yesterday and did an ACV rinse and this morning I WO and only applied a tiny wee bit of coconut oil to the very ends. These shots were taken about 7:30 tonight so this is how it looks after the whole day.

Where do you think I fall on the hair typing scale?

You're not going to know until it gets longer. :) I mean you can guess, or you can look at past pictures when it was longer and gave a full wave/curl pattern, but my experience is that at this length, hair can do all sorts of uncharacteristic things. I had probably 1c hair when it was "flip length" (which is v. cute, by the way! Your hair looks adorable) but once it passed The Threshold of the Upper Shoulders, it straightened to basically a pin!

Meanwhile, wavy hair often does the opposite...shows more wave as it gets longer (because it's repeating a wave pattern over and over instead of maybe just once or twice, since there's just more hair to do it on).

Make sense?

I'd say 1b/1c, i have a feeling it'll change a bit as it get's longer.

I'd say 1c or 2a, it's still a little too short to tell.

Thanks! I guess I do need a bit more length to really get a good idea of what I'm dealing with. :o I've just been so surprised at what it actually looks like not using commercial products and not blow drying (uh, frying). And I don't even mind the humidity now. That just makes it more interesting - ha!
ahhh....one day it'll get there. :)

I'm not sure about the hairtype, but I just wanted to say that your hair is very pretty! :D

I think it's 1b. Certainly 1-abc, doesn't look like 2 at all.

Beautiful hair!

It's probably going to be 1b when it gets longer. It might look 1c for a whiel, but it's probably going to get straighter.

Most Type 2's have a greater appearence of wave even at your length.

I'd say 1c right now but you won't know for sure until it's a bit longer.

How exciting! :)
