my hair seems to get sun-bleached really easily. naturally, it's a dark-brown color (typical asian hair). when i went on a vacation last summer, it turned brownish from the sun, and now the color's grown out. it looks horrible, but i don't want to dye my hair using chemicals. i've heard that henna can be messy, and i've never dyed my hair before so i'm afraid i'll mess up.

are there any other ways to darken my hair?

My hair also bleaches very easily in the sun, going from dark auburn to a light red/gold. http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i80/princessaldatma/plum.jpg Personally, I think naturally sun lightened hair looks really pretty on longer hair, so I wouldn't worry about it. If you start dying your hair then you'll lose the natural tones and variation in it's colour - not that theres anything wrong with dying hair. :flower: Just my :twocents:

There's a discussion going on now on the Herbal Board called, "Desperate to darken" (or close to that), so you could see if there are any tips there.
