Figure 8 bun, finally managed a proper one!

I tried the figure 8 again. Turned the hair quite tight around the center so I have little o shapes now, for bigger ones my hair is just too short.

Then I grabbed a short stick, a ketylo, and started to put that in.. well.. if I want to break a ketylo using my hair, I know how to do that now. I didn't push through, and grabbed one of my madlife sticks (heavy artillery) and put that one in.

I couldn't even stick it through the holes in the O's but had to push it more through the edges of it, or else it STILL wouldn't work. Currently the bun is sitting peachy, and I have a small tuft on the right hand side which I didn't have the last time I tried quite some time ago.

yay!!! good job!! i remember how great it felt when i could do it for the first time... i didnt use the "take the top loop and fold it over method" though because it didnt look right when i did it... i just twisted the hair into a figure 8 and tucked the ends under one of the loops

Hey cool, that looks great! Whats your ponytail circumference? I ask because I'm wondering how much longer I have to wait, and I'm excited that I must be close if someone with shorter hair than mine can do it.

Where are the directions for the figure 8 on the site now? I see the chinese bun, infinity etc, in hair styling in the articles section, but no figure 8.
