My first year's journey!

Wow time flies! Sitting around watching hair grow sure isn't like sitting around watching grass grow. A watched pot does boil. Progress has been made! Over the past year, I have done what most have: gave away the iron, retasked the blowdryer to drying my bras :D, stopped dyeing my hair with chemicals, and experimented with all sorts of hair products. I took to coconut oil and aloe gel. Tried Mega Tek only to find it to be the most expensive gimmick out there. I tried poo bars, acv, no cones, cones, water only, and stretched washes for the winter.

Here is where I started. Sorry it's so tiny, I shrunk it and can't inflate it again. May 2008, still chemically dyeing and blowdrying. Barely grazing BSL.

And last but not least, I have finally discovered the fun of updos. I still love wearing my hair down, and do so on fresh wash days, but as I learn how to actually make them properly and see the plethora of hair accessories available (or creatable like this one) I really am starting to enjoy hair up. This is a Hypno-bun (thanks for posting those great tutorials Hypnotica) with a hairtoy I made.

So there we have it. A year! I have made some really nice friends here and have received tons of great advice. I have learned so much about hair and had many interesting discussions on these boards. Thank you, LHC, I have had a really enjoyable year here!

Thank you Lilalong, Oberon88, Wackyredtangles, and SheWolf. That was my first attempt at a hair toy, I make jewelry though. I have sold some jewelry, butI am looking towards getting a webshop going sometime in the summer.:) The Morocco Method trimming schedule is similar to the Farmer's Almanac haircutting chart, and mostly goes with moon phases. It tells you the optimum days for cutting hair to increase length, or thickness, or to beautify. It also tells you the days to retard hair growth. I don't know if it works, but it doesn't hurt to try. I hadn't trimmed since September so I figured it was time to even up a bit. Thanks again for the compliments!:flower:
