Deleting Messages in Visitor Messages

I'm trying to delete messages to clean up my Visitor messages. Will it always show the name of the person of the message being deleted? Why isn't is just wiped out completely? Thanks!

My guess is that only you (and the mods) can see the deletions, not any other members. Maybe somebody can check your profile and confirm this.

I don't see any marked as deleted.. there are 2 pages of messages though..

I don't see any deletions, either, if that helps any.
